# CVE-2024-10924: Really Simple Security (Free, Pro, and Pro Multisite) 9.0.0 - 9.1.1.1 - Authentication Bypass - Exploited (CISA KEV): no - Published: 2024-11-15 - CVSS: 9.8 CRITICAL (v3.1) - EPSS: 82.2% (100th percentile) - CWE: CWE-288 The Really Simple Security (Free, Pro, and Pro Multisite) plugins for WordPress are vulnerable to authentication bypass in versions 9.0.0 to 9.1.1.1. This is due to improper user check error handling in the two-factor REST API actions with the 'check_login_and_get_user' function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing user on the site, such as an administrator, when the "Two-Factor Authentication" setting is enabled (disabled by default). ## Edge WAF coverage (claimed by vendors, not measured) | Vendor | Status | First rule | Days after publication | |---|---|---|---| | Cloudflare | Blocks by default | 2025-01-06 | 52 | | AWS | No public claim | — | — | | Microsoft Azure | No public claim | — | — | | Google Cloud | No public claim | — | — | | Fastly | Before feed history | — | — | | F5 | Rule published | 2025-01-21 | 67 | | Akamai | No public source | — | — | | OWASP CRS | No public claim | — | — | ### Cloudflare - 2025-01-06 · new · rule 6bd9b07c8acc4beeb17c8bee58ae3c89 · default Block > Really Simple Security - Auth Bypass - CVE:CVE-2024-10924.
