# CVE-2024-2771: Contact Form Plugin by Fluent Forms for Quiz, Survey, and Drag & Drop WP Form Builder <= 5.1.16 - Missing Authorization to Settings Update and Limited Privilege Escalation - Exploited (CISA KEV): no - Published: 2024-05-18 - CVSS: 9.8 CRITICAL (v3.1) - EPSS: 2.3% (84th percentile) - CWE: CWE-862 The Contact Form Plugin by Fluent Forms for Quiz, Survey, and Drag & Drop WP Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation due to a missing capability check on the /wp-json/fluentform/v1/managers REST API endpoint in all versions up to, and including, 5.1.16. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to grant users with Fluent Form management permissions which gives them access to all of the plugin's settings and features. This also makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete manager accounts. ## Edge WAF coverage (claimed by vendors, not measured) | Vendor | Status | First rule | Days after publication | |---|---|---|---| | Cloudflare | Before feed history | — | — | | AWS | No public claim | — | — | | Microsoft Azure | No public claim | — | — | | Google Cloud | Before feed history | — | — | | Fastly | Before feed history | — | — | | F5 | Rule published | 2026-01-20 | 612 | | Akamai | No public source | — | — | | OWASP CRS | No public claim | — | — | ### F5 - 2026-01-20 · new · rule 200013155 > Added: signature 200013155 "WordPress Contact Form Plugin Privilege Escalation" (Authentication/Authorization Attacks, risk High), systems: WordPress.
