# CVE-2024-46986: Arbitrary file write leading to RCE in Camaleon CMS - Exploited (CISA KEV): no - Published: 2024-09-18 - CVSS: 10 CRITICAL (v3.1) - EPSS: 37.1% (99th percentile) - CWE: CWE-74 Camaleon CMS is a dynamic and advanced content management system based on Ruby on Rails. This issue has been addressed in release version 2.8.2. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. ## Edge WAF coverage (claimed by vendors, not measured) | Vendor | Status | First rule | Days after publication | |---|---|---|---| | Cloudflare | Blocks by default | 2025-06-09 | 264 | | AWS | No public claim | — | — | | Microsoft Azure | No public claim | — | — | | Google Cloud | No public claim | — | — | | Fastly | Before feed history | — | — | | F5 | No public claim | — | — | | Akamai | No public source | — | — | | OWASP CRS | No public claim | — | — | ### Cloudflare - 2025-06-09 · new · rule bc8dfbe8cbac4c039725ec743b840107 · default Block > Camaleon CMS - Remote Code Execution - CVE:CVE-2024-46986.
