# CVE-2026-96889: Librsvg: use-after-free when xml includes have duplicated entities - Exploited (CISA KEV): no - Published: 2026-09-23 - CVSS: 7.8 HIGH (v3.1) - EPSS: 0.6% (47th percentile) - CWE: CWE-416 A flaw was found in librsvg. When processing an SVG document containing nested XML inclusions (Xincludes) with duplicate entity declarations, a use-after-free error can occur. This vulnerability arises because the library incorrectly frees an XML entity that is still in use by the parser. An attacker could potentially exploit this to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code. ## Edge WAF coverage (claimed by vendors, not measured) | Vendor | Status | First rule | Days after publication | |---|---|---|---| | Cloudflare | No public claim | — | — | | AWS | No public claim | — | — | | Microsoft Azure | No public claim | — | — | | Google Cloud | No public claim | — | — | | Fastly | Before feed history | — | — | | F5 | Rule published | 2026-10-21 | 28 | | Akamai | No public source | — | — | | OWASP CRS | No public claim | — | — | ### F5 - 2026-10-21 · new · rule 200204104 > Added: signature 200204104 "Next.js Open Graph Remote Code Execution" (Server Side Code Injection, risk High), systems: Node.js, ReactJS.
